Silly Tigger. So sad since Nala left, never appreciated the dogs, other cats, or any humans besides her one person. She has been MIA since early this week. Did she come by your house? Please call.
August 26th, 2008: ADDENDUM: A miracle , after being gone 14 days, this cat, believe it or not, returned this morning !!! !!! We were stunned. She meowed in the middle of the night, outside, like a dream... Only in the morning, she was real! She does not look any worse for wear, and she had an awful lot to meow about when she first came in. What was her story?....summer holiday after all? .....or trapped somewhere?.....injured (rattle snake etc) and now recovered?....We might never know.We are so overjoyed and inspired that she is back. Welcome home Tigger.

Hey that makes my day :) Seven days vacation is the record over here. But fourteen days! WoW! And in cat time that's like a couple months or something. O that they could tell their stories . . . surely a miracle or two must be involved.
It made our day too, believe me. Does make ya wonder though...jj
Great story! Please visit my blog about Amish homesteading http://amishhomesteader.blogspot.com/
Thanks for keeping me hopeful. I've been meaning to write you. My cat left and was going on a week and I saw yours had gone two. Then 3 weeks, then 4. Well, four weeks and 1 day later he shows up for dinner like nothing ever happened. A new record. Must have been a nice Blue Lake vacation! If only he could talk.
Don't know if you're still reading posts this far down on your blog but I had a cat in the Whale Gulch area for 10-12 years early 1970's. Name of Chama ( as in New Mexico). Anyway that guy was a wanderer. We were often without our own vehicle hence did a lot of hitch hiking to town. Our driveway was a mile from Four Corners area and more than once while waiting or resting there our cat would appear and greet us. He could be gone weeks or days but came home to check in always - or course until he did not after many years of exploring a wide range.
Glad your kitty returned.
wow! great cat stories hope it works out for simba the same way...
